The Oracle’s Final Words and a Future in Good Hands

I will no longer be writing Berkshire’s annual report or talking endlessly at the annual meeting. As the British would say, I’m “going quiet“.

Greg Abel will become the boss at yearend. He is a great manager, a tireless worker and an
honest communicator.

The final official shareholder letter from the Oracle of Omaha was released last night.

Truly remarkable: Warren Buffett hasn’t just set the gold standard in investing - he’s now showing true vision in another way. He knows when to let go and is handing over his company to capable hands. Greg Abel, whom he has been mentoring for years, is expected to carry on the Berkshire legacy for decades to come just as Buffett did.

Berkshire Hathaway remains one of the few stocks I’m still adding to, through a savings plan.
