Why I also invest in fiat-pegged stuff alongside more volatile crypto-assets

In my search for diversification, I’ve come to weight the role of crypto stablecoins in my portfolio. They’re not a replacement for Bitcoin, Hive or other altcoins but a complementary tool. I balance both based on my personal risk-reward equilibrium, using stablecoins for liquidity, passive income, and time-risk management while maintaining exposure to long-term higher-potential investments.

Crypto markets are unpredictable. Stablecoins provide a predictable store of value, allowing me to preserve capital and stay liquid for new opportunities. They ensure that I always have funds ready without worrying about price swings. 🏷️

HBD for example offer reliable yields without requiring active management. While higher returns are possible with other assets, the value stability balances the riskier side of my portfolio.

Having stablecoins on hand protects me from temporary asset downturns and allows me to invest strategically when prices drop. However, I don’t avoid volatility entirely, I simply use stablecoins to smooth out risks and make fast moves. 💨

Therefore for me isn’t about choosing between stability and growth, it’s about blending both. Stablecoins provide short term continuity and liquidity, while volatile assets offer long-term potential. By structuring my strategies around this balance, I stay flexible and prepared for both short-term opportunities and long-term gains.

Here's why I don’t see stablecoins as a replacement for crypto long term investments, but as a key part of a diversified strategy. They help me manage risks, maintain liquidity, and generate steady returns, all while keeping me ready to seize market opportunities when they arise. Besides, if we exclude volatility, the crypto-risk remains the same, and to compensate for that I need use many other tools, but that's another story! For sure I'm not one of that kind who puts all the stake in one basket 😅
