Vendée Globe: Heading North, Azzores Ahead, and Records Broken ⛵🌊

The Vendée Globe adventure is nearing its end, both in the real world and in my own Virtual Regatta. As I sail north toward the Azores, things have been going fairly well. I’ve managed to recover a few positions after some setbacks, however the gap to the leading group has grown significantly. The winds haven’t been in my favor compared to the heading group, allowing them to pull even further ahead. At this point, some of them are almost at the finish line.

In the real race the winner of this year’s Vendée Globe, Charlie Dalin, crossed the finish line about a week ago, marking an incredible achievement, in the last edition he came second and now he won! This edition of the Vendée Globe has shattered new absolute records. It’s clear that modern sailing is reaching levels of performance and innovation we’ve never seen before.

Now, as I continue my path toward the finish, I’m savoring these final stages. Every mile north brings me closer to the end of this adventure, and even if I’m far from the leaders, the sense of accomplishment is almost reached. The Vendée Globe continues to prove why it’s one of the most extraordinary challenges in the world! ⛵
