Sloppy Firsts
Trying out new meals and pot luck pleasures resulted in delaying my usual leftover Monday or sometimes Tuesday to Thursday this week. This is significant, in that trash pickups are on Thursdays, so I gathered up all the unusual suspects to see what was bin-bound, and what could be salvaged.
The result was flash-fried crimini mushrooms, bok choi and avocado oil, with an over easy egg and green chili sauce. A spritz of juice from a condemned orange added a nice touch. And luckily, I was able to spoon out the mound of salt that dumped onto the dish because the shaker cover wasn't screwed on.
A certain roommate has some explaining to do,
