Tonight's episode is a tribute to how engaging with the community within Splinterlands can lead you from one thing to another.

Matt had been chatting to a Splinterlands player, across the pond from Australia, in the Land of the Long White Cloud, organising some new accounts and discussing the current proposal process, when our scheduled recording time arrived, so Matt asked him if he'd like to come on the show to talk about it and he agreeed.

So tonight's "Behind The Avatar" themed edition introduces Hive account@keeegs

Originally from a card collecting background, Keegs initially started to get interested in crypto via bulk advertising from crypto.com in regards to their Visa Card rewards program.

He had heard of digital card games but had never really looked into the web3 space until Splinterlands.

Note: For our fans unfamiliar with the New Zealand accent, the conversations in this episode are not about 🍆's, but about decks 😎

Keegs tells us that he entered into the Splinterverse during the global scamdemic when many people suddenly found themselves with an excessive amount of time on their hands.

and we all had a bit of a laugh about some of the prices that we paid for our Chaos Legion Summoners (now Archons).

We then go on to discuss the current proposal system, the pros and cons of it, and possible solutions/amendments to this system as Keegs sees it, referencing his post on the subject, Finding the Flow for the Splinterlands DAO

We also discuss the divided feelings of the community in regards to progressive leagues, auto league advancement vs the old pick a league system, and offer some solutions to this issue.
