Level 588 of Johnny Trigger was one of those levels that looks easy but actually messes you up 😂 I started with 9500 green gems and 38 purple ones, and my guy spawned on this dock with the sea behind him and some wooden crates everywhere. First thing I did was take out the enemy on the metal platform above. Used the red laser to aim and "HEADSHOT" popped up. Then I swung across and saved a hostage yelling "HELP!" near a red barrel. Thought I was doing good until I realized how many enemies were still hiding on the cranes.
The middle part is where it got chaotic. After hitting the checkpoint I had to swing between platforms over the water while shooting guys on hanging scaffolds. There were 2 enemies on the top crane and they were both shooting at me at the same time. I tried to take them down mid-air but missed and fell, so the game showed "LEVEL 588 FAILED" and I had to hit restart. Second try I was more careful. I used the crane hook to swing, cleared the guys on the ground first, then went for the ones up top. Every shot felt satisfying with that "PEW" sound and the bodies just dropping into the sea.
What made 588 tricky is the timing. You can’t just run and gun because the platforms are spaced out and there’s always an enemy waiting when you land. I had to grab the grappling hook, fly across, shoot in mid-air, then land and roll. At one point I saved another hostage near some crates and then immediately had to swing again to take out a guy with a parachute. The background was just blue sky and ocean so it looked chill, but gameplay wise it was stress. My gem counter stayed at 9500 the whole time because I wasn’t collecting much, just focused on not dying.
Eventually I cleared all the enemies and got to the end platform. No "LEVEL COMPLETED" screen in these clips but I got close. It felt way harder than 586 because of all the swinging and multiple enemies on high ground. Still, Johnny Trigger is fun like that. One minute you’re calm, next minute you’re flying across the map trying to headshot 3 guys before you fall. Gonna go again and actually finish it this time.
