2019 Herb Garden - Part 2
Welcome to my 2019 Herb Garden
In this part I've got to get some of the seedlings moved to bigger containers to make way for new herbs. I'll give a bit of a general update on the garden, I did have some casualties and a bit of trouble with the transplant.
This round we're going to plant Cilantro, Italian Oregano and Lavender. I'll leave the mint in it's container here since it's such a small seedling they will need a little more time to get roots around the soil so I can transplant them easier.
Week 3
Here we have Basil, Dill and Mint(Left to Right) that were planted in the first round of germination. The empty container was where I had the lettuce. The lettuce I was growing unfortunately did not make it. Only, two plants sprouted and one died off quickly. The second ended up getting the stem crushed when went to water it one day.
Week 4
At this time I felt I better get some of the other herbs going for the season so I had to move the grown seedlings to some bigger pots. Also you maybe able to tell my Basil is starting to get crinkled leaves meaning not enough calcium. I'll have to start mixing some in on the next watering.
Transplant
Here they are in their new home. The transplant didn't go great since the roots did't have the soils held together very well yet. But they survived with only minimal casualties. That's all for now. Thanks for coming to check out the post and be sure to keep an eye out for future update! And as always keep on Blazin4Steem! ✌
