Fireworks Photography

Someone was asking about fireworks photography...

Longer shutter speeds are better. Gives the full burst as it shoots up and spread out. Last year I did 1/3 second but afterwords I thought longer exposures might be better. Also I was very close and got complete frames. I was less than have a block from spot where they were shooting them off. Then end a pier on the beach. This year I am going to position myself so I get the shoreline and background to. This is in Gulfport Florida along the beach. I can to a park to the west and shoot east to get the whole scene. Also I am thinking of doing timelapse. Just set the camera to take 30sec pictures every 10 secs and put them together to make a video. I did that with one of our local bridges. If you look on youtube for Tony and Chelsea Northrup they post instructional photography videos. They have one specifically for fireworks
