Tracking Into The Lake!
Ep. 7, The Resin Pours, for the Lake, and Ground Cover Scenery For Cape Cod Highline
The top of the watefall: Upper Pilgrim Lake, I created a resin mix, tinted a brighter tourquise, similar to the colour I have seen in Glacial Ponds, found in mountains.
Lower Pilgrim Lake
I coated the bottom of the lake, with Woodland Scenics Water undercoat (Navy Blue). The Resin Using two different sand sifts, one fine, and one much coarser, as well as small pebbles, I create the shore line for the lower end of Lower Pilgrim Lake. All glued, of course, with a diluted 3 parts water to one of scenic glue, to hold the sand in place. I used a much less intense colour, in fact, diluted maybe 10 times less, for the lower lake. It should read as deeper than the upper lake area.
Over the mountainous areas surrounding the lake, I used a coating of Scenic Glue, sprayed on, with a sprinkle of Woodland Scenics Coarse Ground Cover: Light Green, Medium Green, and a Burnt Grass colour. In addition, a created small bushed, and trees, clinging to the mountain side, with some Dark Green, and Medium Green Lichen. on Top of the lichen, bits of coarse ground cover were glued. Over all ground cover, a spray of thinned scenic glue was used to keep it all in place.
