Polygon and the Cub Back In Action (Key Points)

It couldn't have been better timing (sarcastic) that the Polygon network decided to botch up a update and go down for about 15 or so hours. This made for a lot of questions and wondering around Polygon and the newly launched PolyCub good for us though Polygon is back in action since this morning and for most the airdrops and systems are working.

Blockchains

With issue like this found on Polygon yesterday it shows a few glaring issues with these new blockchains.

Many of these new blockchains are run by a company and thus they are centralized and have the ability to bring the entire thing down to make updates and so forth. In a way that can be good but it totally removes two key aspects of what made crypto great. Privacy and decartelization. Which is why systems like Bitcoin as still so popular and options that people get involved with. That's really the strongest aspect of Bitcoin it was created, by who knows how, and essentially it can never go down unless everyone stops using it. That's a powerful thing.

PolyCub Tips

These first two months are going to be critical I feel for building your stacks of PolyCub. Either to hold on to them, add them into the xPolyCub or honestly just holding them in your bags (of course they don't really do work there though)

xPolyCub

Is a new aspect that many don't really understand. While it has a lot of inner workings I'm just going to go over the basics and general idea of how it all works.

At the moment of writing this PolyCub currently sits at $0.67 which seems bad but it's really not. You see the first two month of Polycub are hyper inflation 5 Polycub per 2-3 second block reduced by 1 each week. So soon it will go to 4 and a week after that 3 and so on. It will even continue to shrink after that each month and the curve on that is wild.

Here's a screenshot of what that looks like. Well over 80% of the supply will be printed in just two months and then pretty much essentially come to a screching hault at just 0.5 Polycub per block.

polycubemissions.jpg

What we see happening right now is a large amount of the Polycub being sold and also placed into what is called xPolyCub Staking.

What Is xPolyCub Staking?

By converting your polycub into xpolycub your exchange rate will varry. At the time of writing this it is now 1 xPCub = 8.47 PolyCub and this rate will most likely continue to go up. Think of it as the CUB Kingdom on CubDeFi it collects 50% of the fees from farms early harvesting and also accumulates some Polycub on it's own as part of the emissions.

Thus as the system continues to be used it means more and more value is injected into xPolyCub which should increase the ratio. It's the single spot where this value should continue to grow over time. This isn't instant wealth it's more for those who play the Hodl game.

Things To understand

Polycub is going to have a VERY limited emission after 6 months. At a rate of just 0.0625 Polycub per block compared to what we have today at 5 Polycub per day it makes sense you'd want to build stacks of Polycub today. The first two weeks but really the first month are critical to take action I feel as you're gaining massive amounts of polycub in your wallet. You also have to remember that after 2 months not only is polycub going to only be emitting 0.5 Polycub per block is that also the airdrop will be over that's also dropping a boatload of Polycub right now from those who have CUB.

What plans do you have for your CUBs?
