Engagement Creates Community

clasped-hands-541849_640.jpg

Thank you gingbabida@gingbabida for organizing a contest focused on growing engagement in the Steemit Community. It is my belief that what makes Steemit so different from other social media platforms IS the community. People truly try to lift each other up here, and are genuinely interested in making the world feel a little bit kinder.

I have learned so much from my conversations with others as we comment and reply back and forth on posts. People share little threads of their lives from around the world, weaving a picture together of what it is really like instead of what we are told it is like from other, censored sources.

Many posts and comments with others have led to teachable moments with my seedlings.

Others have sparked direct action like a call to support minnows through delegation.

And words of wisdom and comfort are shared between those who can relate to one another's experiences.

I always appreciate the little extra spark of inspiration that contests, prompts and questions provide, and really enjoy participating in them. You have inspired me gingbabida@gingbabida to create one of my own in the very near future.

I am grateful to find a place with rich soil to grow a community. May we take root, and flourish together.
