Winter is Here (GOT inspired drawing)

Hi everyone! I’m here today to show you the process of this drawing I made for a friend of mine as a gift which he loved. I hope you guys enjoy it too! 💙

First of all I selected a photo from my friend’s Instagram as a reference, so I didn’t have to ask him directly for a photo and was able to keep the surprise as a secret.

Then, of course, I made the sketch, watching through some GOT photos online, cause (and I’m sorry) I haven’t watched the show. I added some props as the crown and the big coat.

Then I selected a base color for the skin as well as the shadows and lightning colors and started coloring. I also added some details in black.

The crown was quite difficult for me. I wanted to add a lot of detail but every time I found myself putting a little too much and I had to start like 2 or 3 times over.

After that all I was tired and I did a very simple coat, with a black background and just a few random lines. But, hey! I think it ended up looking good. What do you think?

Finally I made the background and I added some noise and paint scratching to complete the looks of the show.
