Its not about you
As i grow older, i realise that this world does not revolve around me. Understanding the fact that the world has other people with their own lives has given me a kind of inner peace.
Before now, i use to take things very personal. For example if i greet someone and he or she does not respond, i would start thinking of it all day, i would ask myself questions like why did he/she not respond to me? Does he/she not like me? Does he/she have any particular problem with me? Did i offend the person unknowingly in the past.....
Now i know better. People have their own lives . They could be facing crises which I have no idea about. As human beings, they have a right to their emotions. So him/ her not responding to my greetings may have nothing to do with me but them.
I thank God for this realisation that its not about me.
