LIFE is worth Drinking

I spend more than half of my day in front of my laptop, mostly switching between Splinterlands, Hive front-ends and of course, twitter because the latter is vital for the growth of the community. I consider my self a beer man because I've drunk more beers than I can count and also because I think beer is fucking awesome. I also drink beer because it has this magical effect of stemming the time, effectively cutting out the * dull* side of every day and giving the premium experience. This reason, though general to all beers is why Life Beer holds a special place in my heart.

Life beer has been around the blocks for some years, and like all my favourite beers, it is a mixture of smoothness and coarseness, although it leans a little bit more towards the coarse spectrum of taste. It is one of only a handful of laggers produced locally; so it is not only a refreshing beverage but also a completely patriotic thing to do.

When it comes to my preference of beer, I like to keep my emotions in check while my tongue and soul do the tasting. I say this because Life Beer was actually my first of the year and I uncharacteristically remember the event because 2020 has been one fucked up year and fun beer moments have been few.

I remember the day pretty well, and that was aided by the fact that I helped myself to a can of the goodness yesterday. I was at my uncle's in Jos, that lives in the area close to where I tasted victory. I was bored out of mind, so I decided to take a stroll along that same road leading to Rantya, and found this shop where chilled cans of beer were sold. I requested for the coldest can in the fridge, and I got a funny stare because it was that time of the year where people drank hot tea or Vodka, mostly Vodka.

It has been a weird year for everyone and life as we know it will never be the same. However, when I see a Life beer, my mind piers back to a time when life was "normal", and we had so many liberties that we abused. Now I'm stuck in front of my laptop 24/7, trying to make something of my life and once in a while, I get to drink LIFE as well. That's LIFE I guess.
