Splinterlands - The Set cards grouping would benefit some additional filterings
Splinterlands play2earn game on the Hive blockchain keeps on evolving and with that, the cards management takes different shapes as that demands. The latest change in the game was to change card filtering and focus the management on Sets (Alpha, Beta, Untamed, Gladius, Chaos Legion) rather than Editions (Rewards, Promo, Alpha, Beta, Untamed, Gladius, Chaos Legion). This somehow lowers the ability to filter your cards more atomically and one can find himself in a situation of not being able to manage the cards that he wants to.
One thing that I was doing before this change, I was to filtering my cards and focusing on the Rewards ones. As I am gaining them from Daily Chests and also Season Ends, reward cards are the ones that I accumulate more. Thus, I need to mix them up in order to get them to upper levels, and filtering them out from the other cards helps me to do that. But with the sets grouping, I cannot filter my Rewards cards anymore. Thus I think we should have a sub-filter in order to allow the players to go lower than Sets and be able to select only the main cards from the sets or rewards and promotional cards that come with them.
We already have a Filtering Menu available with the following options: Playable, Owned, All cards, For sale, Rented Out, Rented to me, Delegated out, Delegated to me, Soulbound, On Ethereum, and On Wax. My suggestion is to add here also the Reards only and Promotional only cards, which will allow us to pinpoint these categories and do management on them. With so many cards flying in the Splinterlands and new ones coming in after this Set, management is very important, and having atomic views on specific types of cards is imperial to be able to do your daily routines.
I hope we'll see in the future such sub-filterings or even more. Being able to remove the noise and focus on the cards that you are interested in, is increasing the usability and playability of the game by allowing you to take the best decisions by mixing the NFTs.
