Photo Essay ORANGE - the Day Lilies

( EN / DE ) Every year I look forward so much to this special day when the daylilies finally bloom, because they are the ones that tell me now summer is really here.
Jedes Jahr freue ich mich schon so sehr auf diesen besonderen Tag, wenn die Taglilien endlich aufblühen, denn sie sind diejendigen die mir sagen, jetzt ist der Sommer wirklich da.

This year they really took their time. Very long they stood as seen in the picture above just before flowering, because it was once again rather cool and very rainy.
Dieses Jahr haben sie sich wirklich lange Zeit gelassen. Sehr lange standen sie wie auf dem obigen Bild zu sehen kurz vor der Blüte, da es noch einmal eher kühl und sehr regnerisch war.

But then finally, finally the first flowers began to open and I was lucky that I could watch them and capture the development during the day with the camera:
Doch dann endlich, endlich begannen sich die ersten Blüten zu öffnen und ich hatte Glück, dass ich sie dabei beobachten und die Entwicklung im Laufe des Tages mit der Kamera einfangen konnte:

At night, they then close again and after a few times bloom they no longer open, dry up, but then there are already new flowers open.
Nachts schließen sich die Kechle dann wieder und nach ein paar mal blühen öffnen sie sich nicht mehr, vertrocknen, aber dann sind schon weitere Blüten da, die sich öffnen.

Such a beautiful spectacle that lasts for a few weeks and always makes me really happy.
Ein so schönes Spektakel, dass über ein paar Wochen hinweg anhält und mich immer wieder aufs neue richtig freut.
