Ciudad Bolívar' Historic Halmet

For the residents of my city, Ciudad Bolívar, Venezuela, it's quite common to take a lot of photos of our historic center, and rightly so, because it's so beautiful, a legacy from our ancestors as a Spanish colony.

I'm fascinated by murals. They amaze me. My last 10 years as a teacher, I worked at the Ministry of Culture of Bolívar State.

And I'll tell you something: my job was intense because, as the state capital, Ciudad Bolívar hosts a wealth of cultural activities every day.

During those times, I had the opportunity to meet many muralists and visual artists, offering them budgets on behalf of the municipality for the beautification of the city.

Almost 20 years later, I'm very happy to see that my city's cultural menu remains just as vibrant.

Para los habitantes de mi Ciudad, Ciudad Bolívar, Venezuela, es bastante común hacer muchísimas fotos de nuestro Casco Histórico y con razón, porque es muy hermoso, herencia de nuestro antepasados como Colonia Española.

A mi me fascinan los murales. Me maravillan. Mis últimos 10 años como profesora, los trabajé en el Ministerio de Cultura del Estado Bolívar.

Y les comento algo, mi trabajo era intenso porque como capital del Estado, en Ciudad Bolívar hay muchísimas actividades culturales diariamente.

En esos tiempos tuve la oportunidad de conocer a muchos muralistas y artistas plásticos, ofreciéndoles presupuestos en nombre de la municipalidad para el embellecimiento de la Ciudad.

Casi 20 años después, me hace muy feliz ver que el menú cultural de mi Ciudad sigue siendo igual de intenso.
