Testing new molds and pigments

What a huge day and it started at 6am.. 😴

Things didn't exactly go to plan. 6am wake up, so tired so we stayed in bed right up to 9am, had breakfast and I didn't get outside to start resin work until about 11 ish.

I did finish at around 1pm so at least that went to plan.

New molds, new pigments, two different techniques ~ what the hell was I thinking?

It made things a lot more complicated but I'm glad I did it so I could pick which technique I like best for the molds.

Mold wise.. well it was a bit of a hit and miss..

Here's today's pieces

SPHERE: Supra Blue with Green Adventurine, Sodalite, Rainbow Moonstone, Clear Quartz and Black Tourmaline.

ROSE: Shocking Pink with Rutilated Quartz, Fluorite, Marble, Rainbow Moonstone, Clear Quartz and Black Tourmaline.

POINTED DOME: Ruby Red with Honey Calcite, Red Agate, Garnet, Clear Quartz, Rainbow Moonstone, and Black Tourmaline

HIVE mini generators with Clear Quartz & Black Tourmaline

Thoughts...

I definitely like the ones with the clear window instead of the solid colours best. They're just "MORE", if you know what I mean.

Colour wise these PSTF pigments are 🔥. I should have gotten them years ago. While pouring I thought the pink looked very red but once the pieces were out of the mold it was easy to see the colour distinction.

Mold wise.. I'm not loving the rose. It's my least favourite. I think it's because I'm used to the fine details on the lotus and when compared to it it falls very short.

That piped dome though.... ❤
And the hive mold..... ❤🐝

Overall I think today's pour was a success. I'm pretty happy with the results and the molds in general.

I'm hoping I can get another pour done tomorrow because I'm dying to see the other colours!

Hope ya'll had a great Saturday!
