Zapfic-Monday 240 words: The shocking engagement

Rose has always been anxious and patiently waiting for her fiance Ken to propose to her so that they can take their relationship to the next level. On her birthday unknown to her the plans her fiance had, in the middle of the celebration he knelt on one of his knees and the moment she had been waiting for was right in front of her.

Now that I am sure of the relationship, nothing can stop me, she said to herself with a bright smile on her face. They both prepared for their introduction but Ken kept on postponing it which got Rose worried because she is eager to get married, and she kept on pressurizing him to come to meet her parents.

Things aren't going right, Rose murmured to herself, she couldn't understand why Ken isn't ready to meet her parents after proposing to her. She kept on asking him but she isn't getting a convincing answer, so she decided to keep calm a bit and let Ken has his way unknown of what her so-called fiance was plotting.

After 3 months of no good communication between the two, Rose got the most shocking news of her life when her friend who lives in another neighborhood sent her the video of her fiance Ken in an engagement ceremony with another woman. This made Rose give up on love and kept asking herself where she had gone wrong.
