Annotated Cityscape in silhouette.

I have annotated my image of the St. Louis skyline with the significant structures' height and estimated distance from my camera. I was much closer to the city than in previous articles, this time about 3 miles closer. So, while the angular diameter of the sun does not change, the city structures are much closer and appear to make the sun smaller in scale.

My position in alignment with the city street grid made it possible to capture the light passing between the columns on top of the Civil Courts building. This building has an architecturally interesting top that can be seen clearly in the historical photo below.
