Today as I write I am listening to the @radioliquorice podcast which is bunch of friends who started sharing songs in a radio-style format. I gave them some tracks that we'd recorded in the Postbeat Workshop with @sazzler, @ewan-d and some other non-hivian friends. Its nice to hear our stuff being announced on the radio!

Teeth and Tears

I phoned the dentist yesterday about the pain in my wisdom zone. They offered me a spot but I had a funeral to go to and so instead they just left me a prescription at reception which @sazzler picked up for me this morning. Just popped my first pill. Lets get this party started.

Today I will mostly be eating leftover sandwiches that we took away from the funeral yesterday. I love my god-bro Joe. He's one of these portugal homesteaders these days so I dont get to see him much anymore. Its bittersweet to meet his beautiful new child in sad circumstances but somehow funerals have a habit of bringing old friends together and reminding you of something good. Strange how life works.

We live in the feeling of our thinking

Thats what @gillianpearce replied to my post yesterday and its an excellent way to sum up what I was trying to get at. If I want to alchemize the way I feel, I maybe need to have a look at my thoughts and ask what they might be contributing to my experience of life. Im told that we dont have to forcibly change our thoughts.... instead simply observing them can diffuse the power of negative thoughts and amplify the power of positive thoughts. When I meditate like this I can feel the effect in my body. Ive suffered from various nervous health issues so I find these techniques really profound for my quality of life.

now on to more important subject matter....

Splinterlands

Water quest is a pain for me. I feel it may be my weakest hand. Maybe it needs to be my next upgrade.

to be fair I did have my magic reduced and my health Double reduced, which was a pretty cool tactic with that poisonous little sneak, the skeleton assassin. I didnt stand a chance...

Even when I did win match ups it tended to feel lucky. Like this one where I managed to consistently avoid the goblin psychics affliction ability which allowed me to continue healing:

Hive Blog Posting Month

Apparently its actually #HiveBloPoMo this april so I must have intuited it for the start of my new blogging habit! pretty cool huh? Thanks @traciyork for bringing this to my attention : ) I guess I'll be using this as my primary tag now.

UK Hive Meetup in July

@slobberchops has announced a meetup for Saturday 18th July in Halifax. Ive always really enjoyed meeting Hiveans in real life so I will try to see if I can make it along to this one. Its a bit far away for me and I don't drive, but If I can find a place to stay I might consider going for the weekend. Who knows? Ive never been to Halifax I dont think, although I do bank with Halifax so it feels close to my heart.

One things for sure, If Im going to start booking weekends away, Id better try and make some money. Things arent exactly looking peachy at the moment. Although I expect things to begin improving very #Soon

I can thoroughly recommend listening to the @radioliquorice podcast, especially for @steevc who did an excellent radiohead cover. Not an easy task! But his voice was sounding great to me : )
