Sonic the Hedgehog (Commodore 64) (2021)

On Sunday 19 December 2021, the game "Sonic the Hedgehog" was released for the... Commodore 64... 30 years after the release of the original on Sega Genesis/Megadrive. But this version of Sonic is a port of the game to an older model - Sega Master System.

Unfortunately the game requires REU memory expansion with at least 256 kB of memory. But this game can be run on Vice (I tried, but without success) and Denise emulators (successful attempt). Also The C64 Maxi with newest firmware handles this game very well. I also suspect that The C64 Mini should also run this program.

At the end I placed a guide how to run this game on Denise emulator. However to run this program on The C64 Maxi, you should have installed the latest firmware 1.5.2, download from CSDb a file with extension d81 and after unpacking it in file name add _R5. But from what I remember it is already written.

W niedzielę 19 grudnia 2021 roku została wydana gra "Sonic the Hedgehog" na... Commodore 64... po 30 latach od premiery oryginału na Segę Genesis/Megadrive.
Ale ta wersja Sonica jest portem gry na starszy model - Sega Master System.

Niestety gra wymaga rozszerzenia pamięci REU z przynajmniej 256 kB pamięci. Ale grę tą można uruchomić na emulatorach Vice (próbowałem, ale bez skutku) i Denise (próba udana). Ponadto The C64 Maxi z najnowszym firmware radzi sobie z tą gierką bardzo dobrze. Podejrzewam też, że The C64 Mini także powinien uruchomić ten program.

Na końcu umieściłem poradnik jak uruchomić tę grę na emulatorze Denise. Natomiast żeby uruchomić ten program na The C64 Maxi, należy mieć zainstalowany najnowszy firmware 1.5.2, ściągnąć z CSDb plik z rozszerzeniem d81 i po rozpakowaniu go w nazwie pliku dopisać _R5. Ale z tego co pamiętam, to już jest wpisane.

Grę możemy sobie ściągnąć z CSDB. Jest ona darmowa.
