Afternoon by Oma
Greeting Hive!
Yesterday was a beautiful sunny spring day; however, we have a severe drought in our otherwise rainy season. It’s nice weather only it’s really sad to see the farmers crops devastated and the natural vegetation isn't doing much better.
We decided to pay my mother-in-law a visit around lunchtime with the kids and this is a view from her backyard. There is a river hidden in that valley, and normally it's waters are clearly visible from my mother-in-law’s house. The lack of spring rain and absolutely zero snowmelt means this major German river is now suffering as is the watershed she flows through.
Like I said though, it was beautiful weather and we spent six hours in her garden playing with the kids. They were happy with the change in scenery and were of course happy to see Oma!
And there is a close up of her “Standkorb” her’s is handmade and of course, it is the best ;) okay okay, it is pretty nice.
Hoping we get some rain in the next few days, but I am afraid (almost being May) the crops cannot recover.
Have a nice day everyone!
