Whiskey Bound by Kevin Fleenor

Have you ever tried to write a song? Sometimes the words just flow out and everything makes
sense - and other times, it's the opposite of that. I can come up with the greatest idea for a song.
I'll have the melody.. and the chorus.. and then nothing. The lyrics of the song escape me. I've had
music written for songs for years, but I can't come up with a compelling story, a catchy phrase, or
a call to action, and the song sits on the Droopy Drive forever.

Droopy Drive? I put horror movie stickers on my external drives, so I can remember which is which.
I got a sticker of the beloved Tom & Jerry character Droopy dressed like Sherlock Holmes. Next to
him, the Ghost Faced Killer from Scream. I'm not sure if Droopy is the proper detective for the case.
This helps me remember that it's my music drive. I also have hard drives from The Shining, Nightmare
on Elm Street, and Nightmare Before Christmas.

Inspiriation for the song:
One night, I was coming home from a 12 hour shift, cooking at a restaurant. Although I wasn't
drinking at the time, I thought how good a Jemeson with a pickle-back sounded. Yum! Sometimes,
that awful taste of whiskey really hits the spot. Sometimes, ordering a round of whiskey shots for
your and your pals is a right of passage.

This sing, Whiskey Bound, is all about working that long day and just needing a little medicine to
ease yourself into the night.
