Hola, mi querida comunidad de Hive Open Mic, hoy llego muy contenta con la temática "Música Tradicional" propuesta por nuestro reciente Artista Destacado @bertroya ya que me brinda la oportunidad de compartir con ustedes mi canción original "El Toro de Colores" que compuse en honor a una tradición de una comparsa que se realiza en Carnaval en la población donde vivo (Santa Cruz de Aragua, en el estado Aragua, Venezuela).


Es una tradición muy bella ya que año tras año la familia Velásquez (Conocida cariñosamente como "la Velasquera") saca un Toro de Colores para recorrer con él el pueblo y luego, al llegar a la plaza (Final de su recorrido) realizan una "faena taurina" humorística, en el contexto musical - que no debe faltar - de un pasodoble (Género musical español que acompaña tradicionalmente a las corridas de toros) alusivo a la tauromaquia y entre los gritos de "Olé" y risas de los presentes se desarrolla un espectáculo que gusta a adultos y niños por igual.





Hello, my dear Hive Open Mic community, today I am very happy with the theme "Traditional Music" proposed by our recent Spotlight Artist @bertroya as it gives me the opportunity to share with you my original song "Toro de Colores" (Colors Bull) that I composed in honor of a tradition of a comparsa that takes place during Carnival in the town where I live (Santa Cruz de Aragua, in the state of Aragua, Venezuela).


It is a very beautiful tradition since year after year the Velásquez family (affectionately known as "the Velasquera") takes out a Colored Bull to tour the town with it and then, upon reaching the square (End of its tour) they perform a " humorous bullfighting", in the musical context - which should not be missing - of a "paso doble" (Spanish musical genre that traditionally accompanies bullfights) alluding to bullfighting and between the shouts of "Olé" and the laughter of those present, a show that adults and children like alike takes place.





Quiero compartir con ustedes la función con el Toro de Colores que presentó "La Velasquera" en los carnavales de este año 2023 para que vean lo que me inspiró a componer mi canción.
