Splinterlands Battle Mage Challenge - Ferocity

Welcome to another Battle Mage Challenge, this time featuring the “Ferocity” rule, which grants the “Fury” ability to all of the Monsters in the field.

Ferocity

A Monster with the Fury ability causes double damage to those cards with Taunt… Taunt is the effect that draws attention to the Monster with said effect, protecting the rest of the cards.

Monsters with Taunt, usually have a lot of HP, making them tough barriers, which make you lose time. However, if every Monster in the enemy team has Fury, the fact that they can cause your Taunt Monster double damage, can make it fall in a couple of hits.

So, there isn’t much to say regarding this rule… just don’t use cards with the Taunt effect… sometimes I have been a victim of this rule, because I was sleepy or I wasn’t paying much attention, so heads up!

Battle Analysis

This battle was done in the high Diamond League of the Wild Format… I fought with Silver level cards and my opponent fought with maxed cards… it is what it is… anyways, I’m not going to describe this recurrent lineup of mine… long story short, Melee Monsters where not allowed, so I decided to use a fast lineup with a level two Oshannus as my tank, boosted by a Martyr.

Even though I tend to win more than I lose with this lineup, in this occasion I was totally destroyed for many reasons:

• First: the obvious difference in level… again, I had Silver level cards, while my opponent’s where maxed.
• Second: even though I focused on increasing my Speed, with both my Summoner and my Supply Runner, it wasn’t enough to get any advantage, since my opponent did the same, but much more effectively.
• A great difference in power.
• Countess Sinash, Blast effect.

I don’t think my lineup was bad, but when your opponent’s uses maxed cards, there is little you can do, even if you know what lineup is going to use.
