Knowledge-based Organization

“A knowledge-based organization understood as the concept of management, is based to a large extent on a certain sum of knowledge owned by particular members of the organization. This knowledge is continuously enriched and developed and then used when executing various processes in the organization (Zimniewicz 2009, p. 77). (Brajer-Marczak, 2016)

Per Gartner Group, “Knowledge management is a coordinated attempt to tap the unrealized potential for sharing and reuse that lies in an enterprise’s collective consciousness.”

Essentially, information on the subject is held within the organization, but more importantly transparent and shared.

Employee satisfaction is at the heart of knowledge based organization.

According to Raghu, the employee’s satisfaction consistsst of these requirements:

• Constant and fast processes of individual and organizational learning
• Visionary and intellectually leadership
• Company’s reengineering, transforming it in a flexible organization
• Creation of an innovative and participative environment for all the employees
• Developing of new ways for the knowledge based employee’s attraction, retaining, developing and motivation, harmonizing their individual objectives with the organizational objectives (Tocan, 2012 Dec)
