A Productive Day
Yesterday was just like my usual Mondays. My Mondays and Tuesdays are usually my most hectic days at work, and it starts from home while preparing my children for school. They give me a tough time on Monday mornings because they have slept more on Saturday and Sunday. So, getting them out of bed on Monday is usually a bit difficult.
Yesterday was not an exception. I woke up around 4:30 a.m. on Monday mornings but other days, I set my alarm for 5:00 a.m. When I got up, I went straight to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. As I was cooking, I washed the plates and was listening to my morning prayer program on mixLR from 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. I did that as I was also putting other things together at the same time underwear, uniforms, socks, shoes, and the likes.
When it was exactly 6:00 a.m, I was done cooking. I had already packed our lunch bags and their uniforms were already ironed. So, I woke my kids up and we went straight to the bathroom. After they had their bath, I served them breakfast and I went to have my bath. Before I returned, they were through with their food and they put on their uniforms with the help of their Dad while I also got dressed.
We left the house at about 7:00 a.m. I was already running late because I usually have a 7:00 a.m. class every Monday morning for my students preparing for external exams. I go to work around 7:10a.m. because my husband took the kids to school himself.
My students were already waiting when I got to school. We had our class till 8:10 a.m. before I left to join other staff for the morning briefing and went to the other classes that I had to attend to.
The dey was going the usual way, until I was called to arrange the school library to have a new look. My space is actually in the library, and some representative of the government gave us some new library computers, book shelf, chairs, and tables. so, I and my colleagues with the help of some students put
everything together and I was so happy our library has a new look. The only thing left is the empty bookshelf but they have promised to get us more books so we would add it to the books we have before and the library will be set.
Another remarkable thing was that I had a one-on-one with one of my students who was becoming unserious and he opened up to me and explain the reasons why he had been like that. We talked about the things he should start doing differently which he agreed to do. I was so happy about this because I don't want him to miss it at his young age.
I'm looking forward to this week full of activities with my achievement energy.
Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate you. I would love to read your comments.
