Learning about Eden OS and Contributionism
Gooday folks. Currently i am reading two very good book re. #governance systems,. One is More Equal Animals by Dan Larimer giving a background on why he is developing the Eden OS (on EOS).
The other is called Ubuntu Contributionism. A quote from the latter:
The democracy-majority rule model that has been shoved down
our throats is just a cleverly disguised tool of control that pits people
against each other – divide and conquer – instead of unite and prosper.
Once we realise this, it becomes very easy to recognise the obvious
options that we have been denied. The current system keeps the power
in the hands of those who call the shots under the illusion that the
voters have had their say. And from that moment on we are stuck with
the option what we voted for.
The minorities and small interest groups then have to take their
gripes and proposals to those who won the majority and we all know
what happens to minority groups and their needs. Democracy is not
a sustainable model and does not serve all the people fairly. It is a
system that subtly promotes a divide and conquer philosophy.
