Iranian Woman Arrested for 'Cycling Without Hijab' 😠

An unnamed young woman has recently been arrested in central Iran for "insulting the Islamic hijab," after a video appeared to show her bicycling without a veil. A short video circulated on social media networks showing a bare-headed woman cycling in front of a mosque. "A person who had recently violated norms and insulted the Islamic veil in this region has been arrested," the governor of Najafabad, Mojataba Raei, told the IRNA news agency. "Her motive for committing this action is being investigated," the governor said, without disclosing the identity of the detained woman. "The residents of this city are holding a protest rally today [after] the unprecedented violation of norms," Raei added.
