How is everyone? Any new stories from people around the world that might be cool to talk about here... anyone looking for anything in particular?

Let's go through a couple of updates from the Pub Financials, that we have not done for a while. Helps understand the overall picture of things.

The DLUX Shared Node

This one is only shared between @forykw and @new.things (50% each), but is open to anyone. Send at least 100 DLUX to the pub account (@atexoras.pub) via https://www.dlux.io and add in the memo "shared witness participation". Then communicate that here on the Pub for faster recalculation and if you are on Discord, you will be added to the channel where updates about the node are communicated.

Currently, the rewards are all either powered up or adjusted into DLUXG for maintaining the node with the minimum DLUX required for governance.

Powering up DLUX is also an important part of the management, and when the Pub votes up your comments, it will reward you with some DLUX (as you would for example get on HIVE).

Working towards Decentralization of the Pub!

Many months ago, this idea became viable when @forykw thought about using the active key of the pub via multisig (more than one account can sign transactions in the name of the Pub).

This is usually a very "complex" subject for many and it's not yet ready for general public to easily play with it.

But, as motivation, @forykw is starting some work/tests with multisig. This is a very powerful piece of tech that allows security at various levels. It's what would allow basically HIVE accounts to become multi-role accounts, where multiple people can make decisions on what either gets posted or moved in terms of financials.

@forykw still wants to make the Pub administration decentralized! Check the Authority changes of the Pub as examples of some of these.

Pub Focus Shift!

Previously, the Pub had some input on working towards the ATX token parties to be taken, announced on the Live Scratch Paper. This has proven to be slower than expected as to how much BEE the Pub can raise for that cause, and not being something that can take place (at current rate) this year as planned. Hence we need to adapt...

Also, because the main purpose of all the donations is to continue making the Pub alive and supportive of the fun and teaching it does, we had a bit of thinking and decided to make the responsibility of raising the 2000 BEE a thing for @forykw to support instead.

This means that all the rewards will now be managed as investments of the Pub that will control them for now (later in the game this will be a responsibility of several administrators), and once the ATX token releases, to be supportive of how that token distributes (in attempt to both reward the Pub visitors and who holds ATX).

This means that progressively the DEC @forykw owns on the BEE:DEC pool, will slowly be removed and the Pub owned BEE will be reinvested elsewhere to generate further value. The final objective is to have a look at the Pub pool investment as something solely owned by the Pub. And then something like this graph will drive other initiatives (note that current stats include DEC owned by @forykw):

This will likely make the graph come down a bit (at current prices) but will also show the real value of everyone's contribution to the Pub, phasing out @forykw help in starting this initiative. He wishes this to be something of everyone, not something owned by him. Everyone is helping... which is the main focus of the initiative, allied with the fun and free stuff.

What all @forykw DEC did?

Well, we have 1000 SPS staked on the Pub, which is something crazy to think about. Hence the strategy of using @forykw DEC to influence the BEE holdings was very helpful. Just have a look at https://peakmonsters.com/@atexoras.pub/airdrop

The impact has been substantial... and there is more coming. How about a shared SPS node? =) how's everyone feeling about that... The SPS will be maintained and hopefully the voting on the Pub as a producer will be something to be challenged with. All you will need is to also hold SPS staked. Similar to how HIVE voting works.

If you have any questions about how things work on WAX, let us know. @forykw was a member of a 4 collaborators Block Producer (BP) team in the first days of EOS, but eventually things didn't work out. That does not mean one could come back, but for now, the main focus is on the HIVE ecosystem.
