Sacred Codes (Chimbángueles - NFT)

Through their bodies, the dancers invoke codes of an ancient language that rises to break time and space in a sacred spin that condenses all the energy to transform it into a cosmic dance.

This is my latest NFT creation on Tezos blockchin, inspired by the tradition of the Chimbángueles de San Benito and their special musical and dance cadence among the immense reed beds of the southern region of Lake Maracaibo in Venezuela.

I like to flex that apparently concrete temporal and spatial reality and extrapose it on images projected on that great unconscious that is cosmos, infinitely open to our understanding. So I try to express that question by immortalizing a moment that I consider highly energetic and of great human sensitivity.

The dancers carry "control sticks" that are distinctive among the highest authorities within the complex and active hierarchical plot of the "Government of the Chimbangueles", closed religious and mutual support societies with several centuries of existence, organized around the devotion to the ancient African deity “Ajé” syncretized in San Benito de Palermo in this region.

Women, as in all spaces of Venezuelan social life, have also managed to make their way, conquering important hierarchies in these old brotherhoods traditionally led by men.

Use the Rotoscopy technique in key frames supported by After Effects software and finishing the manipulation of the image sequence in Photoshop and Illustrator to create a textured vector animation in GIF format.

Los bailadores a través de sus cuerpos invocan códigos de un lenguaje ancestral que se eleva para romper el tiempo y el espacio en giros sagrados que condensan toda la energía para transformarla en danza cósmica.

Esta es mi última creación NFT en la blockchain de Tezos, inspirada en la tradición de los Chimbangueles de San Benito y su especial cadencia musical y dancística entre los inmensos cañaverales de la región del Sur del Lago de Maracaibo en Venezuela.

Me gusta flexionar esa realidad temporal y espacial aparentemente concreta y extra ponerla sobre imágenes proyectadas sobre ese gran inconsciente que es el espacio, infinitamente abierto a nuestro entendimiento.

Entonces trato de expresar esa cuestión inmortalizando un momento que considero de altamente energético y de gran sensibilidad humana.

autoridades dentro de la compleja y activa trama jerárquica del “Gobierno de los Chimbangueles”, Sociedades cerradas religiosas y de apoyo mutuo con varios siglos de existencias, organizadas alrededor de la devoción a la antigua deidad africana “Ajé” sincretizada en San Benito de Palermo en esta región .

Las mujeres, como en todos los espacios de la vida social venezolana, también han logrado abrirse camino, conquistado importantes jerarquías en estas antiguas cofradías lideradas tradicionalmente por hombres.

Use la técnica de Rotoscopia en fotogramas claves apoyado con el software After Effects y terminando de hacer la manipulación de la secuencia de imágenes en Photoshop e Illustrator para crear una animación vectorial texturizada en formato GIF.
