L'altro giorno alcuni amici mi hanno segnalato la chiusura
definitiva del negozio Queen Music che da oltre 40 anni e' aperto in Via Borgaro a Torino, nel quartiere dove sono cresciuto.

Ho perso il conto delle centinaia di vinili, cassette, cd, spartiti
musicali ed altro che ho acquistato in quel negozio.
E' un mondo che sta scomparendo, uno dei tanti.
I negozi di dischi uno ad uno stanno chiudendo, un po' perche' oramai la musica si acquista altrove molto perche' si e' perso il gusto di sfogliare le decine di dischi che ci ritrovavamo davanti ogni volta che mettevamo piede in quei luoghi magici.

Ora si fa tutto on line, a prezzi migliori perche' l'offerta e' infinita.
Fatemi dire che davvero e' un peccato, aggiungo che la stessa fine hanno iniziato a fare le librerie ed e' un peccato due volte.

Il progresso, se di progresso si tratta, le possibilita' di fare tutto da casa o da dove si vuole con un semplice telefonino ci stanno privando di tanti, troppi piaceri.

In quel negozio, da bassista ragazzino, ho acquistato dopo aver risparmiato su regalini della nonna e paghette, i dischi di Santana, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, il Boss, Rolling Stone, Kiss e tanti, tanti, tanti altri.

Un mondo, un epoca si chiude, peccato...peccato davvero.

The other day some friends told me the closure
definitive of the Queen Music store which has been open for over 40 years in Via Borgaro in Turin, in the neighborhood where I grew up.

I lost count of the hundreds of vinyls, cassettes, CDs, scores
music and more that I bought in that shop.
It is a world that is disappearing, one of many.
The record shops are closing one by one, partly because nowadays the music is bought much elsewhere because we have lost the pleasure of leafing through the dozens of records that we found ourselves in front of every time we set foot in those magical places.

Now everything is done online, at better prices because the offer is endless.
Let me say that it is really a pity, I add that the same end they started making the bookstores and it is a pity twice.

Progress, if it is progress, the possibilities of doing everything from home or from wherever you want with a simple mobile phone are depriving us of many, too many pleasures.

In that shop, as a kid bassist, I bought Santana, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, the Boss, Rolling Stone, Kiss and many, many, many others after saving on grandma's gifts and pocket money.
A world, an era closes, too bad ... really too bad.
