These classic games are timeless classics. Some of these games were created in the 1970s, others in the 1980s, and some even earlier. But all of them are great fun and worth playing again.
Tetris
Tetris was first released in Japan in 1984 by Nintendo as a part of its Game & Watch line. It was originally called Tetrissimo but was renamed after being translated into English. In 1985, it was ported to the NES and became an instant hit.
Pong
Pong was developed by Atari in 1972. It was one of the first video games ever made. It was designed to be played with two paddles, one per player. The object of the game is to keep the ball in play by hitting it back and forth between the players' paddles.
Super Mario Bros
Super Mario Bros. was released in 1985 as part of Nintendo's NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) console. It was originally intended to be a side-scrolling platformer, but the developers decided to make it into an adventure game instead.
Pac Man
Pac-Man has been around since 1980 when he first appeared in the arcade game Pac-Man. He became so popular that he was later ported to other platforms such as the Atari 2600 and Game Boy.
