SONORAN DESERT IGUANAS
I found three of these beauties out in the desert. This particular desert iguana was a camera hog. No, not really, he was just very secure in his camouflage.
Desert Iguanas can tolerate the heat very, more so than many of the other lizards around or myself. They love to feast on flowers and flower buds and eat plants for the most part.
There are not many differences between males and females and so I could not tell what this particular one was but it was the smallest of all three I saw.
I love it's beautiful pearly color.
He looks like a little velociraptor!
