Politicians need to be called out individually.
Beto O’Rourke erroneously claims that the Democrats, but not the Republicans, constitute “the side of the people who believe in democracy, the Constitution, and the rights of our fellow Americans….” That’s a villainous libel against tens of millions of patriotic Americans.
The claim would be just as false if a Republican wrote that the GOP is “the side of the people who believe in democracy, the Constitution, and the rights of our fellow Americans.”
Is it possible for the professional political class – of both parties – to speak about their political opponents with respect, and without accusing them of being traitors to American history and our national values?
