Left-lane-cruisers.
Fact Check: There are no reliable studies that validate the claim made in this photo that a higher percentage of left-lane-cruisers are obsessive face-diaper wearers.
One of the most surprising things about my week-long stay back on the Northshore of Chicago (we stayed in Bannockburn and I never missed the opportunity to say it like a true Scotsman)
was how many people were still wearing masks, and even most astonishing was how many of them were still forcing their kids to wear them . . . outside! I was flabbergasted, frankly. And then I recalled faintly something I’d read which examined the various psychological facets of the myriad reasons why people choose to wear masks. -And why some are eager to force us to wear them again: Some people like to wear them. It’s just that simple in some cases. We must never lose sight of the fact that man is not an entirely rational animal. He is not just a fleshy computer, nor is he merely a trousered ape.
Anyhow, I’d rather not ruin a perfectly funny meme by starting a convo about the good reasons why someone may be wearing a mask in the car they’re driving. We should take care not to jump to conclusions. We don’t know all the circumstances. I really wanted to write a funny rant against left-lane-cruisers! But that’ll have to wait.
