Crisis pregnancy centers routinely lie to pregnant women. Most of them are staffed with employees and volunteers that have no medical training. They spread misinformation about abortion and cancer risks. About abortion and future fertility and miscarriage/preterm delivery risk. They often misinform the women about the relevant laws in their state.

They often provide solely abstinence-only sex education to unmarried women and for married women natural family planning methods. Both are not reliable birth control methods. And they often spread misinformation about more reliable forms of contraception saying they are ineffective or dangerous.

One may think the ends justify the means here, but much of this misinformation can cause abortions later in pregnancy, and the contraception misinformation in particular can lead to more unplanned pregnancies, not fewer.
