Be an Ethical Buyer

Well, last week's journey we have gone through with various things that may not be in accordance with what we expect, or lazy on the contrary, no one can know. Entering the 36th week of issue 01, with the newest theme, of course we have many things to tell here. One of you may have a bad experience or a beautiful experience related to the theme we will discuss. Moreover, this determined theme is very closely related to our lives, namely The Customer Is Always Right.

The customer is always right, isn't this an expression for every buyer? Well, sometimes buyers misuse this term for the sake of selfishness in responding to buying an item from the seller. The philosophy that cannot be changed from the past until now is about a term The customer is Right. Why do many even worship that the buyer is the king of the gods. This expression has stuck in everyone's heart since ancient times, well maybe since I was not born into this world, this term has appeared everywhere. This is because an entrepreneur believes that this philosophy can convince a customer to improve the progress of a business. Well actually, in this philosophy it can be concluded that the buyer is everything, therefore for entrepreneurs in selling a product it must have good quality that can satisfy the customer, so that the consumer feels right that he has chosen our product for him to use .

In addressing the buyer is always right, I completely disagree with this. Because sometimes buyers also make mistakes. Moreover, by deliberately damaging the product offered by the seller for his own benefit, then wouldn't we experience big losses if we adhere to the philosophy above. I've seen this happen before my eyes, so the customer's actions that are always justified make me angry.

Once when I visited a supermarket, I found a customer tearing off a product label. He deliberately did it in an area far from the CCTV coverage. I watched him for a very long time, between yes and no, until I followed him to the cashier. It turned out that my guess was right. the label is for profit, by paying half price. The cashier was very confused when he saw a product that was no longer labeled, to the point that the store manager gave the product to him, and what surprised me was that he won, even though the cashier and manager had explained at length about the product which was still sealed. What disappointed me was that I couldn't defend the seller, because I didn't have the courage to act on something I didn't have any proof of.

Since that incident, it has become a valuable lesson, that buyers are not always right, sometimes they use this philosophy for unpleasant things like the one above, it would be a shame if that happened to us. Therefore, be a good buyer and comply with ethical behavior.
