Updates on the Life Changes at Home with our new Fur Baby

Hello everyone!!!

Have a relaxing and happy weekend… 😊

As the newest family member, it's Max's third day at home.
We are still adjusting to each other, especially the two fur babies. My daughter tegoshei@tegoshei and I jokingly call Max “baby giant” because he is too big and still a 9-month-old golden retriever and “grandpa elf” for Arashi. After all, he is a tiny 10-year-old toy poodle. He is already a senior citizen in dog’s age… that's why we call him grandpa or gampa… hehe

We are still struggling a bit at adjusting them both. As for our gampa elf, we can fully understand his feelings… being the only baby at home for almost 11 years. At the same time, we also understand Max's side of having a lack of care and attention from his previous owner. Maybe they are too busy, that's why they looked for someone who can give him the love and attention he deserves.

We really feel how excited and happy Max is when we cuddle him, especially with my daughter. Even if he just only hears my daughter's voice from inside the house, he will rise up and wiggle his tail graciously fast. He is very happy and very comfortable with us.

Look how Max appetite can melt your heart, especially when he’s eating.

This is his food.

And this is Arashi's food and photos of him when he’s eating...

And this one is for us… fried banana for dessert!!!

The funny, but sometimes a bit irritating gesture they do is when greeting each other. They seem to be having a concert with bass and tenor voices while barking at each other, especially our little one. We understand that they both wanted physical contact but we believe it isn't safe yet. Max is still a baby and a huge dog. He still can't control his excitement while Arashi is too small yet aggressive. So, it’s better to keep them at a little distance for now.

Max always stays outside during the daytime but sleeps inside the house at night.

My husband is still working on improving his bed outside, we’re planning to make it a little concrete because Max is still fond of biting and chewing something like wood. We're still disciplining him in this manner at the moment, hopeful that he'll change someday.

We care a lot for their health and pray that we will stay together for longer years.

My dear fellow Hiveans who are dog lovers and have pets like ours, I am also seeking for some advice on how to raise them well, as well as some healthy food suggestions, especially for Max. My family will be very happy to hear from you.

Thank you so much for your time and concern
To God be all the glory 🙏❤
