A Walk To The Quarry

This post is for #SublimeSunday is inspired by c0ff33a@c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday is initiated by ace108@ace108

I did a good deed this morning. Everything is simple. Today I decided to take my morning walk with my dog not to the river, but to the lime quarry. I was almost at the quarry when I noticed a young man running. When we met, he asked me to show him the way to the quarry. I showed him the direction and he thanked me. The guy was not a local, he said he had run 6 km.
There are usually a lot of vacationers at the quarry in July, because the water in this place is emerald in color and warmer than in rivers.
But this year, in early July, a number of negative factors converged - the cold rainy weather and the fuel crisis. I noticed that there were few cars in the city, and the parking lot in front of our office was empty. Cars are queuing for gasoline at the gas station.
This has a big advantage for the environment.

So, the young man went downstairs, and I went along the upper road to the far end of the quarry.

Looking at the quarry, I realized that all work on it had stopped. There have been no changes since last year.

Meanwhile, the guy undressed and entered the water. That's right, he decided to swim after running. He didn't swim for long, just a couple of minutes, which means the water is cold.
The dog and I continued our walk.

My Nora was also interested in looking at the young man. She became interested in him on the road.

This is the end point. Now I can turn back. I'll take a few photos of the lake and then head back. There's no point in going any further, as the road ends in a bush.

alt

Nora usually runs ahead of me, but in unfamiliar places she periodically stops at the forks of the roads and looks at me to figure out where I'm going next.

On the way back, Nora went downstairs and checked the place where the young man was swimming. She had satisfied her curiosity.

I also decided to go in the quarry and walk on it, take a closer look.

The layer of calcareous stone is scooped out. It was thin. In Soviet times, this layer was not even considered for development. At that time, large excavators were used, which were powered by electricity supplied via cables.

alt

Nora explored the quarry before me.
She scared away 3 sandpipers. I would like to take a picture of them, but it didn't work out. Walking with a dog often imposes its own troubles for photographing.

I have already told you that due to heavy rains, the water level in the river at the moment looks like spring and there is no opportunity to comfortably fish. I looked at the possibility of fishing in a career. It's a perfectly sound idea. I should try to do this.

alt

The watchman's house is open, his windows are broken and there is complete ruin inside. This means that the further exploitation of the quarry is not considered. But the banner about the ban on visiting the quarry has not been removed. But who in Russia reads such banners and then fulfills their requirements?

Friends, goodbye! Until the next walk.
