Many people here are thinking and asking "What is Steem worth?" "Why has Steem any value?".

I am curious what value is for you because for some days posts get really high rewards, who does
not bring much value at least for me.

I think @Dan and many other tried to give some thought into this, so i want to share what
I think.

1. Value from things you learn

From the moment you are born you learn what has value for your parents, family, friends, and society. This could be described as the first phase to get a sense what value are.

You learn that you need your mother because she will feed you and this guy called dad because he can do
the same thing but with the microwave.

So to keep it simple - anything you keep alive has value!

This is mostly forgotten in our everyday life, so i want to state it clearly, this is the fundamental principle what something gives value.

##2. Value from things you want

Like Maslow said there is a pyramid of needs https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maslow%27s_hierarchy_of_needs. I want a secure, healthy, happy life. Some things are more needed then other things to achieve my goals.

Secure

I work for a living. I like what i do and i like the fact it gives me no stress or i have not to work overtime. I chose this job for one more reason; i consider it a crisis safe job! It is a fair paid job, but i could try to find a better job, but i think for most of my goals, this job is perfect.

As i believe we could easily go into a bigger financial crisis than we saw 2008. I am heavily invested into crypto, to give my a better safety net in the future. Most of the people around me don't understand it, they still believe in the future of our money system.

Healthy

In 5 years on my current job i was 6 days ill and could not work, so I consider myself healthy. What I lack is the #steem ;D to exercise more . So i should find a way to keep this goal on track. The problem here is that i am healthy right now and only "probability" will struck me in the future and i will curse my present self for just be this dick who was to lazy to be more sports active.

Happy

I consider myself happy, because i can most of the time do what i what. At the moment i am single, but this could change anytime and will bring new focus to every goal i have. My goal is to cut my job for a living if in the future the circumstandes permites it.

Back to value

I just wanted to give you a sense what value is in my opinion and why something could have value.

Steem as an example falls in 2 categories for me Secure and Happy so Steem has value to me and will get more and more value.

I realize every day, how attractive the promises of Steem are. Talk about things you like, find people who value your content and get rewarded for doing this. The value is growing with every user who is joining the network and it looks like, this will easier achieved then bitcoin, bitshares or other crypto projects ever did.

It is good, that Steem can "hide" the complicated crypto facts and just provide a easy to use and understandable front for myself and so many people new to crypto. This will give Steem value, because here you will find people who will provide help to achieve your goals in your life.
