We Got Our Rental Back After 5 Years - A Photo Tour
We got our house back after having it rented for the last 5 years! Most of our friends here haven't ever even seen the inside of it, so there has been a lot of interest in seeing it empty!
This is one of the rental homes that we bought for potential income here in Panama. This is the first house in the neighborhood, and it was designed differently than the other two houses, even though they are all similar.
This house has a circle drive in front where the others have a driveway into a covered area. This house has a porch on the side of it. Each of the houses are 4 bedroom, 3 bath, 2 story homes. They were all built about 20-25 years ago and we purchased them 7 years ago from the second owner.
This home was previously rented by a couple who used two of the rooms as an airbnb rental. We actually stayed in two of the rooms when we were first visiting the area 8 years ago.
The house has some different finishes than the other houses. For example, the living room is two steps down. There is also a step up into the dining room. This home also has a separate laundry room that is not a dungeon under the stairs, although it also has a little dungeon area.
The home also has a lot of wood finishes. The ceiling in the lower area is wooden beams and the flooring upstairs is the same. The staircase also has wooden accents where the other two houses have metal rails.

The master also has a little walk out balcony that overlooks the neighbor's house. The master bathroom is a little larger than the other houses and has a different area for the wardrobe and built in chest of drawers. This is a nice feature for this house.

The rooms upstairs also have tall ceilings with wooden beams and nice wardrobes and a chest of drawers. You can see the difference in the light in both of these rooms based on their location in the house and number of windows.
Another difference is a little office or sitting space upstairs right off of the stairway. The spacing of this house is a little different and it looks really nice.

The kitchen, dining room, and office space need a little sprucing up, but not before the new people move in this week. We have been doing some cleaning and the workers have been repainting the walls (white instead of a cream color).
This house feels really huge when it's time to clean it! Thankfully the renters that left did a really good job when they left, but it was sitting unused for almost a month and needed some more cleaning before the next renters arrive.
I hope you enjoyed this mini tour of our rental house here in the mountains of Panama. It's a great place to live and we love how cool this house looks! Everyone comments on how nice it is!
