Fun, Fellowship, & Fire with Friends
Yesterday we celebrated the end of the Feast of Tabernacles with our friends in the area. We had a fun day and then most of them came over in the evening.
We lit a fire and enjoyed hanging out and fellowshipping with all of them into the evening. Our kids usually go to bed at 8:00, but some of our friends didn't leave until 9:00! Some of the kids had already put themselves to bed at that point! Ha!
It was a great time and we used the firepit that my husband had built in the last few weeks. Everyone loved getting to grill their burgers and hotdogs on the fire. The kids especially loved getting to use the new grill. They each had multiple hotdogs that they grilled over the open flame.
We also had s'mores and some desserts after we ate. If you don't know what s'mores are, it's a roasted marshmallow in between chocolate and graham crackers. It tastes amazing and I highly recommend it if you've never had one!
The kids were roasting marshmallows for themselves or their parents for a long time. It was a great time to just hang out and watch the fire. One of the kids had even picked up sticks and leaves that morning because he was so excited about the fire that night! It was so sweet!
Our kids had really been looking forward to this time for a while. Now I'm excited to do it again! It was a great time, everyone agreed!
