Throw Back Thursday// Remembering my first song performance

Remembering my first song ministration Hey everyone, my name is @aowilson and am so excited to share this experience about my first ever song ministratiom with y'all.

So, my music pursuit started about 4 years ago, and can you believe that prior to this time, I never knew that I would do anything related to music, although I used to love music so much but I never knew that I will one day make an impact through music.

So fast forward to 4 years ago, I bought a guitar and began to learn how to play it. It was not an easy journey but to the glory of God, we are here and all through I can say it's a great journey. One thing that motivated me to go on with my music pursuit was the fact that as I am learning, I get inspired to write songs and that's how I've been going on and on.

I would not want to bore you with stories about my learning, Cos that's not the main goal of this post.

So fast forward to last year, after my graduation from university, my very good friend and brother, a great man with so much potentials reached out to me and share with me about an event he had in mind that he wanted to do and wanted me to sing some of my composed songs there .
At first I wanted to reject the offer, but I later thought about it and accepted. I thought that there is a beginning to everything, so I accepted the invite. I went to my archives and looked for a song and began to rehearse and perfect it.

On the D day of the event, I went there with so much anxiety and fear and the event started. People began to troop in and yeeeee it was my time to sing. It was actually a "spoken word event" and so I was the one to give the music there.

My performance was lit, and the applause I got was humbling. Everybody was saying one good thing or the other and they really enjoyed my performance.

A friend of mine, specially said that she was really surprised at my performance and really I was just speechless.
Well I just want to say that that experience really gave me a ground for growth and developing myself because it actually thought me to believe in myself.
