Description from Strava: Today we went around part of Broom Quarry, also called "The Birdplace" in our house.

It would appear that Mia hasn't got much appetite for a walk today, not to mention a run..
She has been up all night to be fair, in and out of the garden annoying the neighbours.. ๐Ÿ˜„

Tarmac, the company that quarries the area, have the obligation to restore the quarries; these trees are the newer ones, while older trees are on the other side of the quarry.

I believe, this a Mallow struggling on..

Grass cut everywhere, unusually early..

This quarry has been turned into a bird reservoir and is a popular spot for watching them. The water is very low right now.

I wonder what this is about.. some low posts have been put in on the side of the path where a spot was marked before..

This is the other side with the more mature trees.
Mia hiding in the grass again just as the phone comes out.. ๐Ÿ˜„

This is the main entrance and view point. The island in the middle is normally well covered with water.
