How is cryptocurrency viewed in Islam?

I've been wondering how Islam has taken to cryptocurrency in Islamic majority countries like Indonesia and Pakistan, seeing as Islam follows a moral code regarding financial transactions and the banning of usury.

How do Muslims view cryptocurrency? As a force for good or not so good? Have strict Mullahs already begun to issue fatwah's against getting involved in cryptocurrency? Let me know please as I'm interested to know and hear your opinions on this subject.
