Hang in there, everything will be okay ........
........is the explanation from an individual who has an optimistic view of life's happenings. It will be okay, one just has to deal with the hard knocks as best as one can and get through it. He or she may also see that hard knocks are like lessons or tests, so let's learn and get better. These individuals also trust that there will always be a silver lining. Such self-explanatory styles tend to make challenging times much easier to deal with. A typical comment that a person makes when going through difficulties is, 'other people have it much tougher than me' and 'I will get through this.'
There is no doubt that a person with an optimistic self-explanatory style deals with hardships better than someone who has a pessimistic self-explanatory style. Individuals who see the worse believe everything is bad and it will always be bad. They are all gloom and doom telling themeless and others that all is bad. They can be liken to the children's story Henny Penny, a character in the form of a hen who runs around frantically yelling the warning that the 'sky is falling in.'
Which self-explanatory style do you have? An optimistic one or a pessimistic one?
There is no doubt that life throws us all curve balls now and then, we never have an even path to journey along. Instead we are confronted with rocky paths, mountains to climb and rivers to swim across. Right now the world is faced with unprecedented hardships in the form of a pandemic, a terrible virus that keeps attacking. Too many people are dying, too many people are getting sick, too many people are hungry and too many people are suffering mentally, emotionally and psychologically.
From my perspective optimists cope the best, they trust in silver linings. Right now we can all do with being optimists believing the world will get through this and we will not only recover, but go on to make the world a better place. It might be ideal but such thinking is the fuel we need to keep us striving.
Keep smiling we will get through the tough times together. And because I am a bit of an optimistic here is a pic of some pretty pink grevillea flowers. Flowers bring joy, something we can all do with a bit of at the moment.
Keep smiling
Cheers and Blessings
