Hello Hive, my name is Andy

So now I'm doing this I guess. My husband has a friend who keeps on coming to our restaurant, and lately he hasn't stopped talking about Hive, and how someone like me belongs here.

All my friends call me Andy, and although I live in Ecuador these days, I was born in Canada. I came here many years ago on a whim visiting a friend, and as fate would have it, met my husband on that trip.

Before coming to Ecuador my profession was singing full time. I lead the Montreal Jazz Band for many years, and although these days I spent most of my year in Ecuador, I do go back home and perform in my old stomping grounds when I do.

I'm the mother of two beautiful boys. They are both my pride and joy, and the reason why some hairs in my head have changed color.

My first passion in life has always been music. I was born into a musical family, and ever since I can recall, I've been singing. These days I may not visit the stage as often as I would like, but I do find myself gripping a microphone when the right opportunity presents itself.

My husband and I love surfing. These days I would say surfing has become part of my identity. We like surfing so much, that the restaurant we own, is surf themed. My husband, a chef by profession and I, had discussed starting our own place many years ago, and finally 2024 was the year we made it a reality.

Our friend @meno tells me I not only need to join, and make some music on here, but that I should also join a competition for musicians that happens every week here. He promises to explain this to me in detail, and I will hold him to it.

Don't really know where this whole thing will lead, but I'm hopeful it will be fun. Which I guess is what really matters.
