Alex Pagulayan vs Ruslan Chinakov
Alex Pagulayan was defeated by Ruslan Chinakov of Russia during the championship round in American 14.1 Straight Pool Championship which was held at Virginia, USA. Pagulayan got a consolation price worth $6,000 while Chinakov got $10,000.
Pagulayan made it to the finals when he defeated Marco Teutscher from Neatherlands during semifinals while Chinakov won against Albin Ouschan in semis. Two Filipino players (Dennis Orcollo and Lee Van Corteza) made the second round but wasn't able to move forward.
Orcollo will compete in 2019 SEA Games which will be held on November 30 until December 11 at Manila, Philippines. Along with him would be Carl Biado who is the current World no. 4, Rubilen Amit, Jeffrey Ignacio, Johann Chua, Floriza Andal, Warren Kiamco, Iris Rañola and Chezka Centeno.
